The Sheriff's office of Travis County says that on Saturday, May 3, shortly before 3:30 a.m., a call received a family because her vehicle was stolen from her entrance.

At about the same time, APD received a call about a person who was approached by a car near Ross Road and Thomas Valley Drive compared to the del Valle Elementary School.

The investigators announced on Monday that the victim was the 20-year-old Anthony Salas. They say he was shot, hit and killed by a vehicle while trying to get his family's stolen car.

“In order for someone to be shot and run over near my house, I think that is nerve -wracking,” said Martin Wells, who lives nearby.

Martin Wells has lived along the street from this intersection in the past 20 years.

AG says that its neighborhood has to see more patrols.
