Murder examination in the Steele Creek division

Charlotte, NC – (Monday, May 5, 2025) – Detectives with the murder unit (Charlotte-Mecklenburg “(CMPD) of the police authority (CMPD) carry out a murder examination in the 300 block of the Archdale Drive in the Steele Creek division.

On Monday, May 5th, shortly after 3:45 p.m., the officials answered a call for the service in the 300 block of the Archdale Drive. On arrival, the officers discovered several victims with gunshot wounds. One of the victims was passed on site of officers. Two victims were brought to local hospitals for treatment.

Detectives of the murder unit reacted to the scene to carry out an examination, and the search for search for the crime scene reacted to process the scene and collect physical evidence. Representatives of the Operations Command from CMPD, victim services, CFD and Medic also assisted.
