Juvenile, which was arrested in connection with the murder in the Converse, says the US Marshal Service

SAN ANTONIO – A young person was arrested in Converse in connection with a shootout from 2023, in which a woman was killed, the US marshal service said in a press release.

According to the press release, the young person was identified as a suspect in the “murder of the ambalance” of a 22-year-old woman in December 2023.

The woman was sitting in a vehicle in front of her residence in the 8900 block of Arundal Garden when she was shot, it said in the release. At least two top -class, semi -automatic rifles were used at the shootout.

The medical examiner's office Bexar County identified the woman as Khadija Derry.

A second suspect in this case was reportedly killed in April 2024, according to the release.

During the investigation, the young person was “known to the law enforcement agency with” a local violent criminal gang that is known to the law enforcement authorities for his participation in armed robberies, narcotics and murders “, according to the press release.

The young person was arrested on Monday without incident in the 5000 block of the Eunice Street in San Antonio. They were brought to the Converse Police Department and are booked in Bexar's district prison.

“The arrest of violent, dangerous refugees is one of the main missions of the US Marshal Service,” said Susan Pamerleau, the US marshal for the western district of Texas. “It is deeply worrying that a teenager was identified as a suspect in such a brutal and calculated murder that showed an obvious disregard for human life.”
