The death of a Mansfield woman on March 25 was ruled by the Richland County Coroner's office for self-inflicted firing injuries. This emerges from its autopsy results, which the News Journal received on Monday after an application for public records.

The 35-year-old Asia Dewalt was declared dead on March 25 at 12.43 p.m. in the emergency room of the OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.

According to the autopsy, the type of death was suicide in the medical examination office of Montgomery County.

The Sheriff office of Richland County examined death.

In Sheriff's reports that the news journal previously received, the 37-year-old Dustin Dewalt, the victim's husband, who is a correction officer in the district's prison, said that the couple had problems with marriage and that his wife had to deal with depression and mental health problems.

The toxicological report showed medication for depression and anxiety.

After her obituary, she visited the Shelby City Schools and completed the Goal Digital Academy. Later she acquired an Associate degree in Human Services at the North Central State College.
