British & Irish Lions Squad Announcement: Time, TV and Live -Stream: Planet Rugby

Head coach Andy Farrell will call his British and Irish Lions squad in London's legendary O2 -Arena on Thursday, May 8th, to tour Australia.

It will be the first time that the squad is named in front of a live audience, with more than 2,000 supporters being present.

The three-time tourist of Lions chairwoman Ieuan Evans will read the selection of Farrell and his coaching staff on Thursday. The announcement itself will begin at 1.30 p.m. (Great Britain).

Farrell is expected to choose a squad that consists of around 37 players, the same number that Warren Gatland selected for the tour to South Africa four years ago. However, it is worth noting that Gatland added another player – Ronan Kelleher – before the Lions squad had left.

The event is broadcast live via Sky Sports in the United Kingdom, while fans can see the event on the official British and Irish Lions -Youtube page around the world.

The Lions have confirmed that there will also be guest appearances and real -time reactions from players who were selected for the tour.

Head coach Farrell has already revealed his first major decisions before the tour and named his co -trainers.

David Nucifora has been appointed General Manager Performance, while Aled Walters is on board as head of sporting performance and Vinny Hammond will serve as an analysis leader.

Simon Easterby, who was filled out this year as an interim head coach during the Six Nations, has also joined Farrell's coaching team together with the Ireland coach John Fogarty, Andrew Goodman.

Richard Wigglesworth from England and John Dalziel from Scotland were also presented as an assistant coach, while the former captain in Ireland and the ex-lions, the Johnny Sexton flies, was added to the employees.

The Lions will play ten times in Dublin in 2025 with their first game against Argentina on June 20 before traveling to Australia.

The opening game down will be against the western armed forces before further games against the Super Rugby Pacific of the NSW Waratahs and the ACT BRUMBIES are exceeded.

Farrell's indictment will then compete against an Australia/New Zealand invitation team, which will be trained by the former All Blacks boss Ian Foster and will take place a week before the series opening test.

The Lions complain the Wallabies on July 19 in Brisbane, followed by a collision with a first Nations & Pasifika XV the following Tuesday.

The last two tests of the series take place in Melbourne in the MCG and then in the Accor Stadium in Sydney.
