Harpeth -Indians achieve District 11aa championship

The Harpeth High School -Indian started her district tournament with a victory against Cheatham County Central in the second round of the baseball tournament District 11aa.

The Indians defeated Cheatham County Central Central with 13: 0 in five innings. Harpeth switched to Hickman County and Cheatham County Central in the final in the losing clipper against East Hickman.

Cheaham County Central fell 6: 5 against East Hickman on Thursday and finished the Cubs season, while the Indian final against Hickman County was shortened due to the weather. The Hickman County Bulldogs came up and gave Harpeth in a row.

“I am very proud of this team and the resistance that you showed throughout the season,” said Harpeth trainer Zac Mitchell. “We have a great tour and hope to get better and better when we take over this post.”

In addition to the district championship, Harpeth later has the right to organize the region tournament this week.

Harpeth's Preston Merritt was also appointed MVP as the tournament, while Hudson Clark Pitcher of the Year took over. Clark, Merritt, Aaron Higgs and Chance Ford were included in the All District team.

Lucas Hannah and Cameron Canada by Cheatham County Central were also included in the All District team.

The region tournament will take place on Friday and Saturday, with the Indians organizing in the “rock”.
