Hodag highlights: Hatchets cut Hodag baseball 1-0 off

The baseball team of the Rhinelander High School suffered a close defeat in Tomahawk on Friday, 1-0.
Conner Rappley started on the hill for the Hodags and gave a run with two goals. That was enough for the Hatchets in the third inning as a walk, an infield goal and a double down the third base line achieved the only run of the game. The Dylan Vanderbunt from Hodag had a double and tried to come to third place on a Fly -Out -Field, but a perfect relay and a day in third grade extinguished a chance for a run. In the 7th Inning, the Hodags got two more of their four goals, but could not achieve a run because the final result was 1-0.
Rappley excluded 9, went 5 and gave up the two goals in 5 innings.
Dylan Vanderbunt threw the 6th inning for the Hodags.
