Thunder GM Sam Presti appointed NBA Executive of Year – Field Level Media – Professional sports solutions

The Executive Vice President and General Manager of Oklahoma City Thunder Thunder, Sam Presti, was appointed NBA Basketball Executive of 2024-25 on Tuesday.

It is the first honor for Presti, 47, who previously took second place in 2009-20, 2019-20 and 2023-24.

The thunder led the NBA with a 68:14 record this season, the best in franchise history and was sixth best in the history of the league. Oklahoma City also provided an NBA record for the evaluation of differentials and exceeded opponents by 12.9 points per game.

Presti has been the Thunder GM since 2007. Before that, he spent seven years in the Front Office of the San Antiono Spurs.

Presti received 10 votes and a total of 74 points in the vote by NBA executives. Cleveland Cavalier's President of Basketball Operations Koby Altman was second and the president of Detroit Piston's basketball Operations Trajan Langdon finished third.
