WD_BLACK SN8100 PCIe 5.0 M.2 SSD leaks via Amazon

It looks like Western Digital will soon be launching new SSDs. Amazon started seeing Listings for the WD_Black SN8100 NVME PCIe 5.0 M.2 SSD with capacities from 1 TB to 4 TB.

According to the now deleted list at Amazon, which was discovered by @Momo_us, the SN8100 is located in the top level of PCIE Gen 5 speeds. The drive is intended to offer sequential reading speeds of up to 14,900 MB/s and write speeds of up to 14,000 MB/s. It is also expected that the random performance is high, with claims of up to 2,300,000 IOPs for reading and writing processes.

In Europe, the MSRP for the 1 TB seems to be 300 € for the 2 TB and € 550 for the 4 TB. The covered prices in Great Britain show numbers at £ 170 for the 1 TB, £ 260 for the 2 TB and £ 455 for the 4 TB.

The chances are good that these new SSDs will be displayed at Computex later this month, whereby the availability begins at the end of the month.

Kitguru says: After the reported reading speeds, the upcoming WD_BLACK SN8100 will probably be the fastest PCIe 5.0 publication so far.
