The NBA Playoffs 2025 are in progress, and round 1 has finally come to their conclusion after the Golden State Warriors defeated the Houston Rockets 103-89 in game 7 on Sunday evening.

The thunder (+135) are the title favorites at BetMGM, followed by the Celtics (+190) and the Cavaliers (+600). No other team currently has no chances than 16-1.

While public betting during the NBA season can temporarily fluctuate due to all the injuries and load management, the playoffs are a big betting event, Thomas Gable, sports book director at the Borgata in Atlantic City – a BetMGM book – said Yahoo Sports.

“From the betting point of view, the handle is very good,” said Gablle. “The NBA suffers from the way they rest the daily season with the players, and I think many of the leisure players have therefore picked out from the NBA. But the playoffs are a completely different story.”
