Carney says Canada “never for sale” after Trump proposed the 51st state plan again

Washington President Trump said again that on Tuesday he wanted Canada America's 51st state in America in a tense exchange in the Oval Office by newly elected Prime Minister Mark Carney.

“I still think that Tango two takes, but also that Carney couldn't offer anything to change his opinion about new tariffs in the northern neighbors of America.

“No. It is exactly as it is,” said Trump about the course in his new taxes against Canada.

Trump later gave more extensive comments on a possible North American political union that described the border between US Canada as a “artificial line” and said that it would lead to a “massive tax cut” for her.

“If you watch this beautiful formation [on a map] When it is together – I'm a very artistic person – but when I looked at it, I said: “It should be,” said Trump.

“But we won't discuss if someone wants to discuss it,” he added, adding, “it would really be a wonderful marriage because it is two places that do very well with each other.”

The 60 -year -old Carney shot back that Canada is “not for sale” and that the Canadian point of view, the 51st state, “will not change”.

“As you know about real estate, there are some places that are never for sale,” he said.

Trump replied: “I say:” Never say. “I had many, many things that were not feasible and were ultimately feasible.”

Moments before, Trump shook hands and smiled with Carney in front of the oval and met the value of trade with the northern neighbor of America for the first time, minutes after sending a snarky message about the social truth.

“I want to work with him very much, but I can't understand a simple truth – why does America Canada subsidy by $ 200 billion a year, in addition to free military protection and many other things?” Trump, 78, told his followers.

“We don't need your cars, we don't need your energy, we don't need your wood, we don't need anything you have, except for your friendship, which we will hopefully always maintain. On the other hand, you need everything from us!” He continued.

In the truth, Trump claimed that the United States didn't need anything “anything” from Canada before meeting Carney.

“This will most likely be my only question of the consequence,” wrote the president.

Carney has now said that he wants to discuss bilateral relationships with Trump and see how Canada and the USA can work together in the middle of the tariff wars.

“When I sit down with President Trump, it will be to discuss the future economic and safety relationships between two sovereign nations,” said Carney in his victory speech after the Canadian national elections on April 28.

Trump had ridiculed Carney's predecessor Justin Trudeau as a “governor” and said that Canada was supposed to become America's 51st state due to the subsidies that the US make available to the country.

But he was warm with the new prime minister in her Oval Office and said that Canadians had chosen a “very talented person” and a “very good person” to lead their country.

“I thought they were excellent and I think we have a lot of things together,” said Trump to Carney. “We have some difficult, hard points, and that is okay.”

Carney replied that he was looking forward to discussing trade with Trump and “finding these areas of mutual cooperation”.

Trump praised Carney's election comack – said it could be even greater than its own last year – and said that the meeting would have a friendly tone, in contrast to the Sitdown of February 28, with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who was in front of the world's press.

“We had … a little blowup with someone else. It was very different [meeting]. This is a very friendly conversation, ”said Trump to Carney.

Trump met Canada at the beginning of this year with a tariff of 25% on steel and aluminum as well as a 25% tariff for cars with a gradual implementation and a tariff of 25% to all other non-USMCA-compliant ones that have to quantify economists.

In response to this, Canada has been rewarded with its own taxes, raised a tariff from 25% to 30 billion US dollars of US dollars and hit all cars that are not covered by the USMCA trade agreement with a tariff of 25%.
