Crash in Great Mills hits the traffic lights and sends you to the hospital

Great mills, Md. -It is assumed that a medical emergency on Tuesday afternoon, May 6, 2025, led to an accident with a single vehicles that injured at least one person and triggered the traffic signal of a large intersection in Great Mills.

The crash occurred shortly after 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of the FDR Boulevard and Chancellor Run Road. First aiders arrived to find a vehicle that had hit a traffic signal box and sheared from a crossbar. The traffic light of the intersection was not made functional.

Several people rated rescue dusk crews at the scene. A middle -aged man was brought to the Medstar St. Mary's Hospital with injuries that were suffered in the accident.

The local authorities said preliminary information indicates that the driver may have suffered a medical episode before the collision.

Drivers are asked to turn caution in the area and to anticipate delays while repairing the traffic signal.
