Bloomfield sees a crime back – here is the reason why police chief says

Bloomfield, NJ – the crime is in Bloomfield below, says the police.

On Monday, the Bloomfield police announced that the reportable crime decreased by 15 percent by 15 percent compared to the same time last year.

A look at the latest statistics of the BPD has shown lower total amounts for several crime categories since the same time last year (Article below).

Police chief George Ricci thanked the community for their “support in reducing crimes in the entire community”.

The chief wrote:

“There are many factors that lead to this type of crime reduction. Our officials have proactively patrolled in our neighborhood and increased their motor vehicle enforcement. This helps to maintain traffic safety, but also offers a visible presentation of the presence of the police department in areas affected. Our detectives follow all available leads, as soon as crime. Review the identification hours.

Ricci continued:

“Our community plays a central role in criminal detection and investigation. The department receives many tips from affected citizens who report crime. Our dispatcher help to collect the most relevant information from the community that helps the officials to react in good time. With as much information as possible. Increases the likelihood of a criminal concern.

Ricci warned that the crime trends usually rise when summer is approaching.

“We will continue our proactive initiative and work with our community partners to best serve our residents,” he said. “I recommend the continuing bravery, the pride and commitment of our officers and I am grateful for our community.”
