Man accuses the Dui crash that the student Arbor View will be released in court

Las Vegas (KTNV)-an emotional scene that developed in a courtroom in Las Vegas on Tuesday when the man who was accused of killing 18-year-old McKenzie Scott was exposed to a judge.

McKenzie's mother gave up a framed photo of her daughter during the charges by 37-year-old Keenan Jackson. Jackson was charged with two crimes: Dui, which leads to death and ruthless driving.

According to the arrest report, Jackson's blood alcohol content was 0.286 at the time of the crash – more than three times in Nevada's legal border.

The arrest report also explained that Jackson showed several signs of impairment, including blood -based eyes, blurred language and the smell of alcohol. The U -Bahn police said that he did poorly at field soberness tests, which led to his arrest for suspected DUI.

Despite these observations, Jackson denied to consume alcoholic beverages.

According to Steve Wolfson Steve Wolfson, the case underlines the urgent need for stricter DUI laws in Nevada.

“The possible punishment in such cases is inadequate. What we do so far does not work. We have too many of these cases here in Las Vegas almost every day,” said Wolfson. “This is a lot of alcohol, at 11 a.m. in a school zone or near a school, unacceptable. And that's why this man will not go to prison for a long time. I'm afraid that I am the district prosecutor.

Wolfson is actively committed to legislative reforms to strengthen the Dui penalties in Nevada, and emphasizes that current laws are not sufficient to prevent repeat criminals and prevent fatal accidents.

He was loud about the need for stricter consequences in order to clear up the growing concerns about driving with impaired impairments. Wolfson encouraged the community to turn with its legislators and ask them to stand up for tougher dui penalties.

In the days since the crash, the classmates and community members of McKenzie started an online petition in which better security measures in relation to schools are required. This petition has already received over 1,400 signatures.
