2 charged in the death of the toddler in Watertown

Watertown, New York (WWNY) -Zwei People were arrested in connection with the death of a two-year-old girl in Watertown.

The city police accused 36-year-old Thomas Rose II of Watertown and the child's mother, 24-year-old Sarah Waterman from Calcium.

According to the police, Waterman and her two -year -old daughter Aurora Wiles lived with Rose in his apartment in the 935 State Street.

On the morning of December 6, 2024, the police were called to the apartment for a report by a non -reacting toddler.

The police said it was found that the child died under suspicious circumstances.

An autopsy showed that the girl died of dull strength trauma.

The case was presented by a Grand jury by Jefferson County, who had charged rose for murder and other charges. According to the indictment, Rose allegedly caused the child's death by repeatedly struck her in his stomach and causing tearing and causing inner bleeding.
