Heavy thunderstorm, which was published west of NYC; See forecast -update – NBC New York

When does the wet weather end?

It was only half a week, but the gray sky and the damp days feel like a drag. Fortunately, lighter days are not far away. In fact, we will probably get a few Sun -Peeks on Wednesday, but the weekend is when our weather really shines.

In the meantime, the low -pressure system responsible for the incessant rush of the bleak weather until Tuesday will bring showers and storms. A severe thunderstorm clock applies to areas west of New York City. Take a look at the latest storms for your neighborhood here.

The main danger of these storms is to damage the wind. Gusts of up to 60 miles per hour, strong enough to strike down tree members, are possible and the probability of small to medium -sized hails.

Harmful wind, hail possible

Here is a look at the potential dangers connected to this storm.

But it's not just the storm threat, it is the rain itself. Expect that bags fall with heavy rain while the storms roll through Tuesday evening. The rain and the resulting drain could lead to increased river levels and subsequent floods.

Be careful when traveling on deep streets, especially if you live in the counties Sullivan, Ulster or Dutchess, where the national weather service has already published a flood station until Tuesday evening.

Tuesday Yankees forecast

The storms were able to slow down the evening pendulum. Take it easy on the street, especially if you drive in North Jersey or Hudson Valley or drive through North Jersey. But even if they are not caught in the rains of the evening storms, the rest of us have a good amount of fog with which you can deal with.

Expect a reduced visibility, so drive slowly and leave a lot of space for the car in front of you.

The Yankees will enter their game against the Padres on Tuesday evening in the Bronx. While the game starts with some easy showers, it should clarify a few innings into the game and hopefully the bombers can achieve a win.

Storms open long before midnight and deliver parts of our region to soak a decent. Those who get the main load of the storms in the northwest of New Jersey and Hudson Valley will see almost a centimeter rain.

If we approach the city, you don't expect more than a tenth inch. Furthermore, thanks to the storms, which are trained from the south in the early afternoon, the sums will be somewhat higher, but the evening hours in Long Island remain largely dry.

10-day NYC forecast looks decent

After the mess on Tuesday, we finally get a break from the desolate sky. The sunshine increases all day over Wednesday because the temperatures come back to the 1970s. Thursday will continue our in the middle of the week when we start another day with sunshine and warm temperatures.

Just as we get used to the dry and lighter weather, another system moves through. In the late Thursday afternoon and evening, the showers sneak back and we stay moist until Friday.

When the weekend runs around, things look up again. A high -pressure system is committed and keeps our days dry and warm. This will prepare us for a beautiful Mother's Day on Sunday.
