Angels GM offers an update about the violation of Ben Joyce

Los Angeles Angels General Manager, Perry Minasian, commented on Ben Joyce's shoulder injury, who put him on the 15-day injured list on April 11th. The GM recently avoided giving a timeline for its return.

“Yes, it's worrying,” said Minasian. “We will give him a little more time. He will play a catch again and we will see where it works. It is in the sense that he didn't feel good. If he could pitch tomorrow, it would have been great. But sometimes it takes longer for certain boys. We will only go and see where we are.”

Although the Angels led the American League West through 14 games, they are now sitting last and have lost 16 of their last 21 games. They also have the worst differential in the American League with a balance of -64 and have published the worst Bullpen era in the MLB with 7.86 since the division of Joyce onto the injured list.

Despite these figures, Minasian insisted that the problems with the start pitching services had lied.

“I find [Ryan] Johnson threw the ball well, ”he said.[Reid] Detmers threw the ball well except for the last two nights [Wednesday and Thursday]. So when we were in tight games and had the chance to win games, the back of our bullpen was well positioned. It doesn't have the front end. So the front end must definitely be better. “

Joyces Era of 2.08 in the 2024 season led the Bullpen at the war with more than 10 Innings with 1.6, while he had only 31 appearances. He also threw the three toughest parking spaces into the large leagues and rose at 104.7 miles per hour.

The angels hope for the quick return of Joyce if they start with an important home state with six games on Tuesday, May 6th.
