Tesla Autopilot Crash: Driver Ticket for careless driving after car in self -driving mode in South Brunswick, New Jersey

South Brunswick, NJ (WABC) – A driver was collapsed into a vehicle in a driveway in New Jersey due to careless trips after his Tesla, who was in autopilot.

A video from the Tesla that the Georges Road in South Brunswick turned into a side street.

The sensors apparently recorded a white SUV, which they see from the opposite direction in the same side street. The police say the Tesla is on autopilot.

“They claim that it was fully automatic. They negotiated a curve to turn into a very narrow street. When they turned around, they were essentially against another vehicle. According to them, the car reacted to avoid the frontal collision, and accelerated directly into an apartment trip,” so the driveway of South Brunswick met the police in South Brunswick. Sgt. Said Tim Hoover.

The crash occurred on Monday around 5 p.m. The owner of the minivan in the entrance that was made who did not want to be identified was directly at the garage door and planted seedlings.

“I was sitting in the class and made the last lines. When I heard this bang,” he said. “When I got up, my feet were under the van.”

The Van owner said that the crash was taking place in the blink of an eye, but he avoided an injury.

The influence of the Tesla pushed the van into the garage and caused damage.

The Tesla ended with front-end damage.

The police believe that the Tesla has confused and accelerated the home owner's driveway to avoid a collision with the SUV.

The owner of the Tesla was driven with a ticket for careless journeys.

“In the state of New Jersey, even if you have a fully automatic function in your vehicles, your Teslas or anything that can drive to autopilot. You still have to take into account with caution,” said Hoover.
