Google's striking Android new design and leaks that reveal a big focus on speed and user -friendliness

Google is preparing to express material 3, a large update for its design system, which is called the “brave new direction for the design”. According to a blog post that was published briefly and then saved by The Wayback Machine and seen for the first time by 9to5Google, material 3 expressive is the most researched update that Google has made to its design language. The company hopes to help apps go beyond “clean” and “boring” interfaces in order to create experiences that are connected to people at an emotional level.

Material 3 expressive is the result of three years of research, including 46 studies and input of over 18,000 participants worldwide. The research process included eye tracking, surveys, focus groups and usability tests. According to Google, the new approach is based on the use of color, shape, size, movement and containment to help users concentrate on what is most important in an app. The update should have strong shapes and colors, the focus is on highlighting important actions and grouping similar elements.

In tests, users discovered the most important interface elements up to four times faster and have shown important actions faster than previous designs. The changes also helped users of all ages to perform tasks equally well.

Materials 3 expressive should have a strong influence on how users consider brands and give an increase in “coolness” by 32%, an increase in modernity by 34%and an increase in rebos by 30%.

These updates will probably appear soon in Android 16 and other Google products. Developer tools are given on Google I/O 2025. The update is expected to bring new layouts, colorful settings and updated symbols.

If you ask me, it is the most beautiful but most aesthetic, what I've ever seen on a screen. It is difficult for me to understand how this amazing piece of work adds the new look of Android 16, which personally looks terrible.
