Andor actor breaks down this surprising death

Full spoilers for Andor Season 2, follow 1-9

Five years, 20 episodes and countless countless planets later Andrils Syril Karn finally caught up with Cassian Andor, his fictional white whale. They fought. Balls flew. Beats were exchanged. And Syril came to an incredible end. Although Cassian Syril's unique focus was when he got through the imperial ranks over two seasons, Cassian had no idea in the end who was Syril and asked innocent: “Who are you?” Before the villain was sent by a blaster bolt that entered the offscreen.

Syril's death was accidental, brutal and perfect. A show about revolution would be a properly executed showdown, in which the villain is triumphantly taken away by the hero. Diego Luna and Kyle Soller, each playing Cassian Andor and Syril Karn, agree. The actors spoke exclusively to IGN with IGN with IGN their legendary Star Wars Fight scene and what it felt like to deal with a significant death in such a surprising way.

“Yes, how does it feel, Kyle?” Luna annoyed.

“What a tail!” Replied Soller jokingly.

'Who are you?' Wasn't the only line that she tried before Syril's death.

“There were many conversations about what this line would be,” continued Soller. “We tried it in a few different ways and I was really pleased that it is with 'Who are you?' It is so brutal for Syril to be confronted with its anonymity.

Up to this point in Andor, Cassian Syril's motivating force had been, his Rasis -d '-être from the first episode. Cassian had committed a crime in Syril's head and had to be punished, damn the costs. His mere existence pushed Syril's promotion through the imperial rows and finally brought him to Ghorman as a spy for the empire.

And then the Ghorman massacre passed. When the balls started to fly, Syril Cassian discovered, who tried to murder imperial Badthie (and once the Syril Paramour) Dedra, and went full tilze against his nemesis.

“His whole world will be turned upside down in 10 minutes,” continued Soller. “And then he (Andor) sees the physical representation of all his anger, frustration and worthlessness, and he pours him into him in this fight. And then (Cassian) only says:” Who are you? “And he is killed.

Diego Luna: Syril was 'on the wrong side' of the revolution

It is a brutal struggle that contains the attack, suffocation, a villain grenade and a well -coordinated vase to the head. Luna says that Syril's humiliation by Cassian illustrates the Andor team's commitment to the rebellion like a real war.

“It's a revolution,” says Luna. “Otherwise it is a film. This is one thing with all these people.

“(Stunt coordinator) Mark Mailley was not only there to run a cool fight,” Luna continued. “He (was) there to tell a story. There is a reason for everything and there is a style and a background story. You can (ES) see how you fight. The decision when it is a hit when it is a role.
