Trump's administration plans to send migrants to Libya on a military flight

The Trump government plans to transport a group of immigrants to Libya into a US military aircraft, according to US officials, another sharp escalation in a deportation program that has triggered widespread legal challenges and intensive political debates.

The nationalities of the migrants were not immediately clear, but a flight to Libya who wore the deported was able to leave on Wednesday, according to the officials who spoke about the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the operation.

The decision to send deported to Libya was striking. The country has conflicts, and human rights groups have described conditions in its network of migrants as “terrible” and “unfortunate”.

The Libya surgery corresponds to the efforts of the Trump administration not only to prevent migrants from trying to illegally enter the country, but also illegally to send those in the country that they can be deported to countries in which they are confronted with brutal conditions. Reuters previously reported on the possibility of a US deportation flight to Libya.

Planning for the flight to Libya was strictly recorded and could still derail through logistical, legal or diplomatic obstacles.

The White House refused to comment. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense did not immediately respond to inquiries about comments.
