Photos and video: Duluth demonstrators gather, call for the Congress Act – Duluth News Tribune

Duluth – Outside of the First United Methodist Church, the citizens took up all four corners of the intersection of the Mesaba Avenue and the Central entrance on Tuesday.

Most demonstrators stood on the sidewalk on the sidewalk, which was closest to the church, which is also known as Coppertop and held signs with some sounding cowbells and horns. Jason Amundsen von Wenshall, an organizer with Northland protests, told The News Tribune that the main number was between 150 and 200 people shortly before 5:30 p.m.

The protest, which started at 5 p.m. and was completed at 6 p.m., called for congress measures in three areas: tariffs, proper procedures and federal funds.

“The congress has a separate, uniform government branch, which commissioned the monitoring of the executive branch.

The organizers say that the protests will be weekly events.
