Avatr invites Teslas Elon Musk to watch the witness of the wind tunnel test

Avatr technology has invited Elon Musk to observe witnesses of his wind tunnel tests after a video in which the air resistance of AVATR 12 questioned the attention of the CEO of Tesla (Nasdaq: TSLA).

“Mr. Elon Musk, founder of Tesla, has false information about the” Avatr 12 Wind Resistance Coeffiction “Retweetet” published by a blogger in China, said the company, which is supported by Changan Automobile, Catl and Huawei, last night on Weibo.

“The Avatar 12 will soon go through a wind tunnel test, and we invite Mr. @elonmusk to be there,” wrote Avatr together with an invitation letter.

To be precise, Muschus is not the founder of Tesla, but the CEO of the US EV manufacturer.

On May 2, the automotive blogger @苏黎世贝勒爷 posted a video about Weibo in which it was claimed that the wind resistance of a domestic EV model, which is claimed as a record injury, lies at the same level 20 years ago as a fuel car.

The video shows the model as AVATR 12, although the blogger does not mention the name of the car directly to minimize legal risks.

The blogger's tests show that the wind resistance of the AVATR 12 is 0.2818 at 120 kilometers per hour, much higher than the 0.21, which AVATR markets.

Avatr's legal department replied on May 3 on Weibo that the information published by the blogger was “completely untrue” and that the technical parameters of its products should be based on official publications.

At the time, the EV manufacturer said that according to laboratory plans from professional associations, he would soon carry out public tests.

The video was published on the X-platform of Musk's attempts to own and received a retweet from Tesla Retweet yesterday.

For unknown reasons, the video was now removed from the mainstream social media platforms in China. The blogger said he did not delete the video.

Avatr, formerly known as Changan Nio, was founded on July 10, 2018 by Changan and Nio (NYSE: NIO) when each party took over a share of 50 percent in the company. At the moment, Nio is largely left from the company.

At the end of August 2021, Changan, Catl and Huawei together announced the updated Avatr brand and said that at the time they were based on a joint CHN architecture, at which C for Changan, H for Huawei and N for Catl.

The AVATR 12 sedan was originally introduced in China on November 10, 2023 and received an update in March last year and is currently starting at 269,900 RMB (USD 37,370).
