South Carolina Highway Patrol examines a fatal crash in Berkeley County

Berkeley County, SC (toilet) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol examines a fatal crash on May 1st in Berkeley County.

The master troops William Bennett says that at 3 p.m. on US 17 old near the intersection on the Horseshoe Road, about four miles south of Monks Corner.

Two vehicles were involved.

The first vehicle was a Honda sedan from 2007 with the driver as the only occupant. The second vehicle was a 2002 Toyota Camry with only the driver and a passenger inside.

The Honda sedan drove north to the USA 17 and the Toyota Camry traveled south. The Honda hit the Toyota when the Toyota turned left into an entrance.

The driver of the Honda was not injured.

Both the driver and the passenger of the Toyota were brought to the Trident Medical Center for their injuries. On May 5, the passenger died of their injuries in the hospital.

The identity of the passenger has not yet been published by the forensic doctor's office.
