Former Dodgers outfielder posts the first video after being converted to pitching

March 16 was the first day of the rest of Joey Gallo's life.

On the same day when he was published in Chicago White Sox's spring training, the former Dodgers outfield accepted social media to make a surprising announcement.

“It was fun, the Outfield,” he labeled the post that contained a video in which he fell on runners on the bases.

Gallo later made it clear: “Just to be clear, I will pitch.”

On Saturday we got our first look at Gallo on a pitching rubber.

“The first bullpen has just fallen,” read the contribution on Twitter/X.

The 31-year-old Gallo was respected as an outfield and big bat for his strong arm as a left-handed racket. Since he was traded to the New York Yankees by the Texas Rangers in 2021, he was inconsistent in his last three seasons (2022-24) with 39.8, 42.8 and 39.2.
