1 person who was killed in St. Mary Parish on Tuesday evening, say MPs

St. Mary Parish, La. (WAFB) – A shootout on Tuesday evening, May 6th, a person in St. Mary Parish left the MPs dead.

According to the St. Mary Parish office's office, the shootout occurred at 7.15 p.m. in the Bray Lane in Franklin.

The MPs said they had arrived at the scene and discovered the victim with a gunshot wound.

The shooting scene is safe and detectives are actively examining.

Members of the public are asked to avoid the area while the investigation lasts.
