Trump denies to publish an alleged AI image of himself as a Pope

President Trump said on Monday that he had shared “nothing with” a representation of himself as a Pope “in his social media accounts in his and white house over the weekend, and distanced himself from the apparently generated picture that the Catholics excited.

“I had nothing to do with it,” said Mr. Trump when I asked questions in the Oval Office. “Someone invented a picture of me that dressed like the Pope and they published it on the Internet. I am not, I have no idea where it came from – maybe it was AI, but I have no idea where it came from.”

Mr. Trump answered a question about Catholics who are dissatisfied with the picture of him in white papal robes and a ceremonial headdress, also tried to downplay the increasing criticism.

“You can't make a joke,” said Mr. Trump and quickly told the reporter: “You don't mean the Catholics. They mean the fake news media. The Catholics loved it.”

But Catholics across the country, including a prominent American cardinal, have suggested that the picture is offensive, especially if they mourn the death of Pope Francis. Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan from New York in Rome said for the papal conclave when he was asked on Sunday after the picture that he hoped that it was not the president's president.

“I hope he had nothing to do with it,” said Cardinal Dolan. When asked whether he was insulted by him, the cardinal, but the picture was called “Brutta Figura”, which means that it had left a bad impression.
