Cat falls into the China Restaurant Hotpot, the owner of the restaurant pays for treatment, cat dies

The owner of a hotpot restaurant in China, who stormed a cat to the vet after it had fallen into a pot with boiling oil, and then promised to hire the cat as a “security guard” after the animal succumbed to his injuries.

On May 2, a white and yellow cat slipped from a rocky lead and fell in a saucepan in a outdoor restaurant in Chongqing, Südwestchina, splashed hot oil and injured several guests.

An online video shows hot oil that sprays on nine people when dishes have fallen in chaos.

The restaurant owner, Surnaned Zhong, announced the Media Outlet Jimu News in mainland that he had taken the injured guests to the hospital and paid for their medicinal bills with a total of around 10,000 yuan (1,400 US dollars).

He also refrained from the bills of other guests who were in the restaurant that evening.
