On Wednesday, the investigative agency of the corruption control tried the presidency and confiscation operations as part of an investigation of the allegations that former President Yoon Suk Yeol had an impact on determining the result of a military examination of the death of a young naval in July 2023.

The corruption investigation office for high-ranking civil servants announced that its prosecutors and investigators were sent to the National Security Office of the President and the secretary office in Yongsan-GU in Central Seoul.

The arrest warrant from the search and attack reported that Yoon reports as a suspect as abuse of power and disability of the exercise of rights.

The attempt by the CIO on Wednesday was an additional measure to investigate Yoons alleged interference in the investigation of the military about the death of CPL. Chae SU-Geun, a navy that drowned during a rescue mission in 2023 after the agency recently carried out a forensic analysis of the smartphone of the Marine Commander, Major General Lim Seong-Geun.

Lim, which had commanded the 1st division of the Marine Corps, was accused of professional negligence that led to manslaughter and the abuse of power in connection with Chaes Death in July 2023.

It has been reported that Lim has not instructed the unit of chae to carry life jackets and ordered the young marines to carry out a rescue mission without proper equipment in a flooded area.

However, the commander was not involved in the case under the command of high -ranking officials from the Ministry of Defense.

After the Center for Military Human Rights Korea, a representative group of interests, revealed that the presidential office received detailed reports on the death of the Navy, the suspicion of Yoon's possible interference in the military investigation grew, which caused the indictment against Lim.

The CIO began to investigate the case in mid -2023, but the investigation was recently placed on hold, since most resources of the corrupt investigative authority were assigned to investigate the alleged uprising of the former president and his short -lived declaration of war law.
