An anti-crime kit in Dalek style in which the shop theft is reduced in a city center is now being introduced for the summer.

Temporary CCTV pods that had been tested in a shop in Northampton are financed by the police, crime and fire officer (OPFCC) as part of a strategy for crime trading.

According to the commissioner, Danielle Stone from Labor, the pods help to monitor the activities and act as visual deterrence for crime.

She said it was one of her “top priorities” to discuss the effects of retail crimes on the communities.

When the CCTV pods were installed in the Vintage -Guru shop in Northampton, the owner Julie Teckman said that they reminded them of the notorious doctor, the cyborgs.

She said that the units were successful within a few weeks in the deterrent of opportunistic crime.

She said, “You are quite big and striking what you need so that people know that they are being watched.”

He added that the footfall case had grown by 18% last year in the past month compared to the previous year.
