Springfield, Mon. – Diamez Ross gave the lead with a Homerun in the seventh and the Knights scored five insurance runs in the eighth and five more in the Hammons Field in the eighth and five more.

Ross, Edian Espinal and Dylan King drove together to drive in 11 of the 13 runs of Black and Gold at night. Five knights recorded several hits and Espinal and Braden Calisene led with four goals each. UCF scored 17 goals in the ball game in total.

The knights moved to 25-23 in the season with the win, while the bears fell to 25-21 with the setback.

“We had a slow start,” said head coach Rich Wallace. “Grant Siegel did a good job to ward off some difficult situations early on, and we did a good job to react aggressively in this fifth inning. It was great to see how Deaamez hit this backside Homerun in the seventh time. And the offensive did some good things to do some of the shattered innings to achieve a few of broken figures.”

The Bears, who are currently in the first place on the Missouri Valley Conference, invited the bases in the first and received two other base runners in the second, but UCF starter Grant Siegel managed to get out of every jam to keep them goalless. The black and gold offensive then brought two runners on board on board without outs in the third, but the Mostate starter Curry Sutherland also turned out because it remained goalless in the early stages.

The bears then managed to break through a two-out RBI single from Tyler Epstein in the third to take a 1-0 lead.

After a goalless fourth inning, the knights made a few runs in fifth place to achieve a 2-1 advantage. After Calse and King were in the rating after two consecutive singles and a groundout in the goal position in the rating, Ross left a security squeeze for the first run. Espinal then followed with an RBI single in the middle for the second run of UCF.

The state of Missouri reacted fifth with its own run when Nick doubled Rodriguez and scored a goal to make the score too fatal.

After a goalless sixth, in which UCF reliever Kris Sosnowski failed in the bottom of the frame, Ross gave the knight the lead with a one-out solo homerun to the left field to achieve a 3-2 number. The Round Tripper marked Ross' second season and just climbed into the Berm on the left.

After Dominic Castellano mowed the bears down in the bear in the last seventh, black and gold then gathered in eighth place for five runs to take the game away. With Chase Krewson in third place and without outs in the frame, Calisene started with an RBI single in the big inn. King, followed by a deep two-run Homerun to the right to make it 6-2. After Mateo Gray had taken a walk, Ross took an RBI single in the middle in his third game. Espinal followed by the Great Ining with an RBI single.

The Knight offensive was not yet finished because it added in the ninth five more runs. King doubled his third game with an RBI double. Then Ross was hit with invited bases and a path from the pitch with full bases for his fourth RBI. After a pitching change, Espinal doubled two more runs with a double with two runs. Andrew Sundean then ended the gate to the right with a victim fly.

Kevin Schoneboom then arrived and pulled the bears back in the last of the ninth time to seal the victory.

Sosnowski, Castellano and Schonboom combined the last 12 battery UCF in the ball game.

Sosnowski achieved the victory to switch to 3: 3 after three goals and only give up one goal and no runs over 2.0 innerings. Castellano then followed the relief with a 2.0 perfect inner rings, in which he hit two, and Schoneboom followed with a perfect ninth place. The MSU calion was marked with the loss to 1-2.

Espinal led 4: 6 with four runs with four runs, while Calise also had a night with four goals by walking 4: 5 with three runs and an RBI. Sundean and King each had three goals, while Ross went 2-4 with four RBIs and three runs.
