See Shakira, Wyclef Jean Revive 'Hips don't lie' on 'Fallon'

The singer celebrated the 20th anniversary of the HIT -Single

Shakira passed The Tonight Show To visit her hit single “Hips Don't Lie” with the help of the original employee Wyclef Jean.

The Colombian took over the sand-covered late night show stage in a red ensemble and spent the first minute of the song to prove that she still has the same skills for hip wagging that made the song so iconic. Jean then joined a group of dancers and a live band for the performance.

“Hips don't lies” was originally written by Jean, Lauryn Hill and Pras for reunification of the fugue, but it was never completed. Epic Records initially suggested that Shakira appeared on a remix of the route, but until then the fugees had separated. Jean produced the route next to Shakira and Jerry Duplessis and performed as a guest singer. With Shakiras Input, the song was modified with a hard-beating reggaeton beat and held with a cheering trumpet loop from the 1992 salsa hit, “Amores Como El Nuestro”, such as that of Puerto Rican Singer-Songwriter Jerry Rivera Verwigen.

The song was the second single from Shakiras from 2005 platinum certified album, the one from the platinum, from 2005 Oral fixation, vol. 2. It was later nominated for the Grammy for the best pop cooperation with vocals.
