The driver is charged with DUI after the fatal pedestrian Südwest Las Vegas Valley crash

Las Vegas, nev. (FOX5) – The metropolitan police in Las Vegas examines a fatal pedestrian collision in the Southwest Valley.

According to the LVMPD, the collision occurred shortly before 5 p.m. on the Warm Springs Road.

Officers of the scene collected testimonies and a Tesla vehicle video in which a Volkswagen Passat from 2008 stated not to maintain driving along the west Warm Springs. When the pedestrian went east, the driver went on the sidewalk and the pedestrian and the pedestrian.

The pedestrian was thrown west and located on the sidewalk. The 23-year-old male pedestrian died at the scene.

Police report, the driver remained on site and showed a sign of impairment. The 38 -year -old Daniel Stakleff was arrested and is charged by Dui.

According to the LVMPD, the collision has marked the 63th traffic penalty in the responsibility of Metro for 2025 so far.

FOX5 crew found a memorials from another fatal collision that took place weeks before this incident. The monument on the corner of the intersection was in honor of Christopher Soto (22), who was killed when driving a scooter.
