Video shows moments in front of a fatal Southwest Las Vegas Valley e-scooter crash

Las Vegas, nev. (FOX5) – The video recorded only on Fox5 shortly before a fatal crash in southwestern Las Vegas Valley took place, as two brothers who drove E scooters, were hit by a car.

Fox5 returned to the scene, the interface of warm sources and Torrey Pines, with Cat Velasquez, the victim's mother in this incident.

Her 22-year-old son Christopher Soto was killed. Her 14-year-old son Carlos was critically injured. Metro has not yet completed her crash examination, but Velasquez says that the video should be a warning for the driver and e-scooter/ e-bike driver.

It does not show the moment of impact, but the video shows a black car that rests towards the intersection where a number of cars are stopped on the light. The black car doesn't stop.

At the same time, the two brothers enter the intersection on their e-scooters. The video does not show whether the light was green, yellow or red.

“I have to drive past every day. It's not right,” said Velasquez through her tears.

Velasquez says that everyone who drives e-scooters and e-bikes has to pay more attention, regardless of who has the right of way.

“Even if the light changes green, I do not go. As a driver, we as a driver have the responsibility to pay attention, to slow down. There is no reason to drive a 35. It's just crazy,” said Velasquez.

Although the crash took place in March, they are outlined today, where the brother's scooters are calm.

“It is the worst feeling of ever having to bury your own child,” said Velasquez. While the family deals with the loss of Christopher, Carlos continues to recover with months of physiotherapy.

“His injuries, some will heal, some will not do it. He still has a kind of his skull. As a mother, Vasquez does not want another family to go through what she went through.

“Middle school and elementary school, and these children go back and forth every day, and it is fair. It is scary. It is scary for them,” said Velasquez.

Fox5 turned to Metro about the crash to find out exactly what happened and who is to blame. You say it is still being examined.

The family asks if they randomly pass by and have a video from the time of the crash on March 24th to send it to the Metro police.

On Tuesday afternoon there was another fatal accident on warm springs near Torrey Pines. The street near a monument for Christopher was blocked for hours with a police band when the police examined.
