Leighton Meester reflects the death of co-star Michelle Trachtenberg

“It is very, very sad for everyone who knew them,” said the actress in a new interview

Leighton Meester spoke out of her for the first time about the recent death Gossip Co-star Michelle Trachtenberg.

In a cover story for FlauntMeester remembered Trachtenberg, who played in the HIT CCW show Georgina Sparks. “It's devastating,” she told the magazine. “She was a wonderful, talented person, and all of them loved them. It is very, very sad for everyone who knew them.”

Trachtenberg suddenly died on February 26 at the age of 39. According to New York City Office, her cause of death was ruled by the chief medical Examiner as complications in connection with diabetes mellitus. The Ocme ruled Trachtenberg's death as natural and the cause was determined after a review of the laboratory results.

Several other members of the Gossip The line -up shared her memories of Trachtenberg. After her death, Blake Lively shared a warm homage on social media, which remembered the friendliness and commitment of the actress for her craft. “This is the first day I met Michelle,” wrote Lively in her Instagram story together with a photo of you on the Gossip Sentence. “It was electricity. She knew when she entered a room because the vibration changed. Everything she did, she did 200%.”

Chace Crawford mourned for the actress in an Instagram post. “Michelle was unique,” said Crawford. “I remember that she came up for the first time and just has it absolutely. It was a natural force and just so unapikely funny and magnetic. I remember these years with a big smile. Just a terrible loss.”

Penn Badgley recently remembered Trachtenberg in the fifth season of his Netflix series You. “I remember her that she laughed incredibly quickly,” he said E! News. “She was really happy. We all have our ups and downs, our lights and shadows, but she had it – I mean, she was ripe, but she had this childish, joyful laugh.” He added: “It's surreal. Really surreal, really sad.”
