Samford Athletics continues the impressive APR results

Birmingham, ala. – The Samford University athletics teams recorded an impressive 987 in the latest academic progress rate (APR), which was published by NCAA on Tuesday afternoon.
Samford had five sports, male countries, male golf, women's basketball, women's golf and women's tennis to preserve public recognition prices that drive on teams with multi-year APR values ​​in the top 10 percent of all teams in their respective sport. Samford's teams in each of these sports achieved perfect scores of 1,000.
Eight of Samfords 15 teams achieved at least 990. Samford managed or connected the lead at the Southern Conference in the long -term men, male golf, women's basketball, women's golf and women tennis. The Bulldogs led Alabama's schools in the same sports.
The APR measures the authorization, completion and storage of each semester or in the academic term and offers a clear picture of the academic performance for every team in every sport. All teams have to meet an academic threshold of 930 to qualify for the post -season and can be exposed to punishments for the continuing low academic performance.
