A man from Irvine was arrested

According to the Sheriff department of Orange County, it happened around 11 p.m. near the Magnolia Avenue and the Pacific Avenue.

Paramedics with the Orange County Fire Authority were called to the crime scene where they arrived to find one man and another injured. They stormed the second patient into the hospital in an unknown state.

The victim who drove a Toyota van was identified as a 55-year-old Stanton man Hoanh Thanh Ngo, said MP.

They arrested the driver of a Dodge sedan, who tried to flee from the scene on foot after he was found at a short distance. He was identified as a 30-year-old James Anthony Deleon in Irvine. He was booked due to the suspicion of driving under the influence with prior conviction, murder and dui, causing injuries.

On Tuesday he was charged with the second degree murder. He did not enter a plea and is said to be planned for an indictment on May 22nd. He stays behind bars without a deposit.

Deleon owed himself guilty last year to drive under the influence. His earlier charges enables the prosecutors to improve their charges of voluntary homicide to a second degree.
