It all started around 11 p.m. on the corner of Long Point Road and Woodvine Drive, where Lt. R. Willkens with Houston's police department said that a woman who was not identified was found shot and the man was seriously injured a few blocks of houses away.

Lt. Willkens said the man, although he was shot several times, went and was able to get help from a company nearby before storming into a hospital in a serious state.

Witnesses told the police that someone came by and shot the two several times before the start, but it is unclear whether it was a drive-by or whether the shooters ran on them.
