Score Production Music celebrates 300 albums

We all from score are so pleased that we have reached the large milestone of 300 albums! Thanks to all the amazing composers who contributed to the catalog, and to our global agents who use our music around the world.

Score Production Music was founded in 2011 by the composer/arranger Dick Walter, whose music is immediately recognizable for many of a certain age (remember the JR Hartley display for yellow pages?). Dick gave a rare interview with Little Black Book for Mark the 300th album and delivered a thoughtful consideration of his musical journey.

The score catalog comprises a wide range of material, from contemporary vocals to retro lounge and jazz, from modern dark and dramatic sound landscapes to bizarre children's music and from orchestra and chamber pieces to the experiment.

We use a mixture of experienced composers and young and less established talent, and Matthew Carter, the composer of album 300, is a talent. Matthew introduces a characteristic mix of creativity and precision into his work and shows versatile over genres and a sharp ability to write to write for a short time, as shown in Trip Hop Fun.

The optimistic and playful Noughties pop-mix guitars, synthesizers and male vocals with a LO-FI trip-hop nonchalance. With quirky vocal patterns and a modern turn in classic production; Perfect for commercials, TVs, films and relaxed content.

This video offers a fascinating look at how Matthew created the samples used in the album.

It is always fascinating to read what creative inspires and Matthew's thinking is no different in the sound interview.

Here is the next 300 albums!
