No Kentucky Derby winner of sovereignty in Preakness emphasizes some philosophical change of horse

Just a few days after winning the Kentucky Derby, sovereignty from running in the prevalance missions was excluded.

It is the second time in four years that the owner and coach of the Derby Champions decided to skip the Belmont Stakes in favor of Belmont Stakes in June. Rich Strike also dealt with the prevention in 2022 after winning 80: 1 at Churchill Downs.

In 2019, Country House did not ran due to illnesses after becoming the derby winner when the maximum security due to interference was disqualified. The breeds were no longer in order in 2020, and Medina Spirit ran third in the 2021 preakness after he was triggered by his first place in the derby for a positive drug test.

This means that this is the fifth time in seven years that the preacness gates on the Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore are opened without a chance of a triple crown. This was the case in the last 33 years from 1986 to 2018, and that happened because a horse retired due to an injury after the injury after the run for the roses.

Why does that happen?

The horse race has changed from its flowering when stars of sport such as war miral, secretariat and seattle Slew were used to it every few weeks. Breeding, money and other factors have changed this, and the 3-year-old horses, who are much less likely to be suitable for triple crown races, with larger sections in between.

“Most coaches hate their horses back in two weeks,” said NBC Sports Analyst Randy Moss. “You have the feeling that it is bad for the horses.”

From the early 21st century, many of the derby horses, which end between the second and 20th place, began to rest on the Belmont for five weeks. It was essentially automatically that the derby winner would go, if not.

“The coaches from Derby winners who run back in the prevention make it out of a feeling of tradition – not because they like it,” said Moss.

Bill Mott of sovereignty made the morning after his horse exceeded journalism in the mud in Churchill Downs, with a record audience who doubts the prevention.

“We want to do the best for the horse,” said Mott on Sunday reporters in Louisville, Kentucky. “Of course you always think of a triple crown, and we won't think about it.”

Does something have to change?

The debate has been raging for decades that horses are unable to work on with three leading races over a period of five weeks. This was primarily due to the fact that nobody overtook the triple crown between 1978 and American Pharoah in 2015, a 37-year-old drought who brought the interest groups of industry to question tradition compared to modern changes.

Justify to to to to to to to to to to the 2018 to give the sport a few triple crown champions in four years. The recent uncertainty over the derby winner who went to the prevention has lit the chatter again.

The prominent owner Mike Repole announced a proposal on social media on Tuesday, which would bring the Belmont to second place in rotation and redeem the prevalance to achieve more distance. Others have proposed to withdraw the prevalence to the first Saturday in June and the Belmont to the first Saturday in July.

What is the solution?

Nobody really knows. And does there have to be seismic changes like the pitch in the baseball?

Maybe, maybe not. After all, the two previous Derby winners – mysticism Dan and Mage in 2023 – withdrawn after two weeks to end the money from the prevention.

They didn't win, but their trainers wanted to try. And Bob Baffert-caused American Pharoah and Justify, who performed the triple crown, showed that this was possible.

“We will see Triple Crown winners because there will occasionally be horses like American Pharoah and like Justify, who are good enough to chase the current thoughts over the distance,” said Moss.

And coaches who don't worry about it. Baffert and 89-year-old Hall of Famer D. Wayne Lukas have shown the willingness to go after winning the derby-even if they don't. Lukas intends to make the American promise in the checkness after a 16th place in Kentucky.

Others have decided to play it safer, which, if this becomes a trend, brings the future of danger into the future.
