NBC Sports has made a major radio change that brings an NBA legend back from the dead.

The network is preparing to resume reporting on basketball next season.

Jim Fagan's voice will return to NBA thanks to NBCCredit: West Virginia University

And the fans are treated with the return of Anthem Roundball Rock.

However, this is not the only exciting feature that NBC brings back.

You will also restore the voice of the iconic narrator Jim Fagan.

Despite the icon, this died with Parkinson's disease in 2017.

Fagan was one of the most famous voices in the NBA community.

But NBC agreed to his family to digitally reproduce his voice with artificial intelligence.

And Fagan will now be heard on all advertising reports for the next NBA season.

Rick Cordella, President of NBC Sports, said: “For many basketball fans, Jim's unique and recognizable voice immediately conjures up a deep nostalgic feeling for a special time in NBA history.

“His voice perfectly captured the size of the heavyweight matchups and stars that he introduced.”

Unfortunately, for NBC, an earlier clip of them is not well received by an AI version of Fagan's voice with the fans.

The coach of La Lakers, JJ Redick, storms out of the press conference after being insulted by an “inexperienced” remark

One said: “You can't find a living announcer? You have to zombify a legend? Ai is the worst.”

Another said: “In bad taste and strange, please stop.”

Added: “In addition to AI sucks, I think that this is a signal that you will only rely on nostalgia in terms of marketing and branding.”
