In a report, criminal behavior among employees, including drugs and theft, became unchallenged

The criminal behavior of employees, including theft and illegal drugs, is undisputed in the largest hospital in Wales, according to a report.

An “atmosphere of fear” in the surgical department of Wales University Hospital meant that the employees did not make any concerns.

The report by Cardiff and Vale Health Board also found that anesthesia practitioners were not always for the entire surgery in the theater, but were on their telephones in the anesthesia room or watched Netflix.

The Health Board apologized and said that measures had taken and improvements also confirmed that a separate review in the allegations of the allegations was that employees look at the public in the operating theater.

The behavior of the operating employee was largely not taken into account, as some said that they often had taken their breaks through and had to take food and drink in the anesthesier.

It found that the staff felt reduced and there was a culture in which the curse and direct criminal behavior – including theft and illegal drugs in a personnel locker – remained unchallenged.

The report found problems that did not carry the infection control as employees of all groups properly, had no mere arms under the elbow and wore jewelry or nail polish.

The poor condition of the hospital was also raised because repairs and cleanliness were below the expected standards, with several cases of pigeons found in trauma theaters or in the theater corridor.

The report found that teams have often worked against each other, which affected the efficiency of theaters and the failure to follow the guidelines enabled the behavior to be disabled, which caused people to feel disappointed and uncertain.

Health Board chiefs confirmed that a person was caught with drugs before this examination and the police were reported to receive no charges.

This person still works in the Health Board after a disciplinary process.

An anonymous complaint about racism was also submitted to management and the advice for the nursing and midwives – an examination was carried out and the accused person was suspended, but no further measures were taken because there was not enough evidence.

Health Board said that the reservation of the staff of commenting made complaints difficult to commit complaints, which is why the work was done to change and improve culture.

In a joint explanation, Suzanne Rankin and Paul Bostock of the Health Board said, while the report was “very disappointing and worrying” that security remained a top priority.

They added: “The Health Board will now take into account the results, recommended measures and effects of the service check, since it develops a reaction of management and a detailed action plan to make urgent improvements and to address quality and security problems.

“Colleagues who are directly involved in the cinemas receive a copy of the report and are supported from a series of face to face with the Chief Operating Officer and other high -ranking colleagues.”

There are 12 operating theater in the hospital with which the bosses were used to carry out 10,700 operations per year.

Most of these, around 7,000, are emergency cases that are carried out around the clock.
