GBI requests the public's help to find suspects in death examinations

Manchester – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation requests the public's help to find a suspect in connection with a death examination.

The GBI and the Manchester police ask for the help of the public in the search for Kimani Copeland, who is charged with a serious attack and murder in connection with the death of Shawn Jackson, Jr., 29, from Fayetteville, GA.

The charges result from a shootout that took place on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, around 12:00 p.m. in Manchester, Meriwether County, Georgia.

The preliminary investigation shows that the Manchester police were sent in a house in the Maple Street house in relation to a shootout in a house in the Maple Street. When the officials arrived, they found that Jackson Jr. had been shot in front of the house after a dispute between two people.

Jackson Jr. died of his injuries on site.
