Drainville Fault for CDN Bedford Skandal | City news

Minister of Education Bernard Drainville sets at least part of the debt for the École Bedford scandal at the feet of the alliance of the Professur et Professors de Montreal, the teacher association, which is part of the Fédération Autonomous de L'ENSESESTREGE.

Drainville indicated last week that the “attitude and behavior” of the union to the abuses in École Bedford, which she and other schools made aware of the National Assembly last autumn, concerned the Avenir Québec government coalition to strengthen the secularism calculation.

The incident in Bedford triggered last December last December and sixteen other schools due to violation of the Secularism Act. In École Bedford, eleven teachers were suspended for creating a poisonous climate. There were allegations of psychological and physical abuse that religious education and “Islamic concepts” were imposed on the students, with teachers ignored science, separating genders, banning girls from sport, etc.

Drainville expressly called out the FAE President Melanie Hubert and said that the union ignored complaints from teachers in École Bedford about the then developed situation.

Hubert says that Drainville is no longer in the row.

She says that it is not the location of the union to deal with the surveillance staff, namely the responsibility of management and add that the union has no direct interaction with debt centers.

At the time of the scandal, the liberal mna Marwah Rizqy CSSDM general director Isabelle Gellinas resigned.

In August in August, the Allianz and the FAE joined the challenge of the English school authority of Quebec from Quebec's Seuderarism Act, Bill 21.

Drainville brought the roof to the union, which joined the challenge and said Hubert had no membership support for it. Hubert disagrees and says that her mandate of members, Bill 21 to question, is declining to 2013. FAE claims that the law had led to discriminatory practices and is an attack on the teaching profession.
