2 parents dead, child injured in the accident of the Orangeburg district

Orangeburg County, SC (WIS) – The Coroner's Office by Orangeburg County published the identity of two people who died early Tuesday morning in an accident.

The forensic doctor Sean Fogle said that 32-year-old Kyle Greene and the 33-year-old Sarah E. Greene both died at the scene due to several bumpers. The two came from Fuquay Varina, North Carolina.

The forensic doctor's office also said that the Greenes child was in the car, but survived the crash and was brought to Prisma Health Richland to be treated for injuries.

The collision occurred on Tuesday morning at 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday morning on the I-95 North near Mile Marker 87 when The Greenes' Auto, a Chevrolet Equinox from 2019, plunged into the back of the car, trough in 1987, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP).

The driver of the dump truck was not injured in the crash.

“Our heart goes to the family of these people, but above all to this child, which has lost both parents,” said Fogle. “Please keep this family in your prayers while going through this difficult time.”

Highway Patrol continues to examine the crash.
