Asus Rog Ally 2 Lecks Paint a pretty expensive picture of what will come

It is no secret that Asus works behind the scenes to deliver his next -and possibly the first Xbox handheld console in the form of ROG Ally. 2. We now had our first look at the apparently two separate editions of the Ally 2 and some of the finer key details that have not yet wanted to reveal.

The ambitions of Xbox to enter the scope of the handheld are probably an even greater secret than that of the Rog Ally 2-to the two worlds on April 1, 2025 when the company teased an Xbox-centered follow-up to its ROG Ally and Ally X Handhelds. It now seems to be sure that Xbox has taken a abbreviation to bring his name into the room with an “Xbox edition” that held the Asus' hardware with its own operating system for saturated gamers.

Open Pandoras Xbox

We have leaked pictures of two ROG Ally 2 devices with the kind permission of @94G8LA on X/Twitter and show a white and black shell, although the latter has a dedicated Xbox button, while the white device replaces it with a little more standard. From this we can explain that ASUS will sell two different ROG Ally 2 models -one is the official ally 2 (white) and the other one “Xbox edition” (black).

What changes from the outside is not much. The handles seem to be redesigned and are now much more chunky than the previous iterations, which affects Xbox focusing more than before. You will watch your games through the 7in 120 Hz display, although it is brave enough to make the leap on OLED, remains to be seen. The ally X still chugs together with a 1080p IPS -LCD screen.

Interestingly, the Xbox version is not just a simple reskin of the right ally. 2. According to submissions on the US FCC website (discovered by 91 Mobileabove Digital trends) The device officially bears the title “Rog Ally 2” and that the Xbox edition is the desired, even if your wallet cannot manage the performance entirely. It rocks AMDS Ryzen Z2 Extreme CPU (eight cores, 36w) and 64 GB LPDDR5X-8533 memory.

The non-Xbox allied 2 seems to be the more affordable of the two, which contains an AMD Aerith Plus (four kernels, 20 W) CPU. We are still not quite sure about the battery specifications, the price of these devices or why Asus of the Xbox edition overshadows the more traditional model. All will be unveiled in time, possibly at Computex 2025.
