Rennsport Louisville, goalkeeper Katie Lund, placed on the list of the injury list of the end of the season

The goalkeeper of Racing Louisville, Katie Lund, was placed on the list of injuries at the end of the season, the team said on Wednesday.

Lund became Racing's starting authority in 2022. She made 79 consecutive appearances for the team before a hip injury held her against the 2-1 victory against the Houston Dash last weekend.

Louisville has announced that Lund has to undergo surgery because of her hip-labrum injury and was laid on the list of injuries at the end of the season.

“I was devastated for Katie,” said Sergio Gonzalez, goalkeeper coach from Louisville. “It has been so reliable in the last three seasons and her leadership on the field will be missed. It is difficult to lose her for the rest of the season, but the focus is now on supporting her by recovery. I have no doubt that Katie will return even more from this injury.”

The 28-year-old goalkeeper is a racing car director in Paraden (305) and Shutouts (18).

Lund also broke a national women's football league record for most parades in a single season in 2022 with 112.

In addition to Lund, Racing also announced that midfielder Maddie Pokorny would be operated on because of a hip Labrum injury. Pokorny was also placed on the list of injury list at the end of the season.

Pokorny had no appearance in the 2025 NWSL season.

“We are here to support Maddie through her recovery,” said Louisville, head coach, the head coach of Louisville, Bev Yanez. “We wish her a healthy and quick recovery and will be with her every step.”
