Extended interview with the father of the NC woman who was found dead in Columbia

Columbia, SC (WIS) – A father's worst nightmare in North Carolina came true after his daughter was found dead in Columbia at the weekend.

The authorities said that the body of the 22-year-old Logan Federico from Waxhaw was found dead early Saturday in a house in the old Shandon district on the Cypress Street.

She was in Columbia to visit friends, said officials.

The police authority in Columbia calls it a random shootout during a crime with several counties in which the suspect Alexander Dickey, 30-year-old Alexander Dickey, is involved.

The police said Dickey broke into the house where Federico stayed and shot it before fled to the scene.

Dickey is confronted in Richland County before a murder suspicion, together with other charges in other local jurisdiction. He was arrested in Lexington County on Sunday and will remain detained there from Wednesday.

Logan's father, Stephen Federico, spoke exclusively to WIS News 10 Reporter Naomi Popa in a Charlotte bar where his daughter worked. The owner of the bar, Jeff Reed, also remembered the 22-year-old in a seat.

Extended clips from both interviews can be displayed below:
