The Orcas Community Resource Center is proud to take part in the OICF Giveorcas campaign, which runs until May 15th and is particularly focused on maintaining its important services for the health worker in the community for island residents.

Community Health Workers serve as essential bridges between health systems and our parishioners, especially those who are faced with obstacles to access to care. They offer professional personalized support to help islanders maintain their health and well -being.

“Our Community Health employees work with islanders and help them navigate through complex systems in order to gain access to critical health services,” said Erin O'Dell, Managing Director of the Resource Center. “With bilingual, culturally reaction -quick support, they facilitate the burden of paperwork, appointments and uncertainty.Make sure that nobody is alone in front of the health system. “”

The funds collected during this campaign enable the resource center to continue to provide these essential services to our community members and ensure that this valuable program is available to those who rely on them.

Special game days offer bonus financing!

Donations can maximize their effects by participating in special match days during the campaign:

  • Unique donor day (Thursday, May 8): Every individual donation, 10 US dollars, helps the resource center with the possibility of bonus financing.
  • Funday Monday (Monday, May 12th): Special Hut ancestors for all donors who give all weekends (10th May 11).
  • Ben Franklin Day (Tuesday, May 13): This day is named after one of the American founding philanthropes and offers this day a special bonus for organization with the most 100 dollars donations.

“Every contribution makes a difference, regardless of whether it is 10 USD or 500 US dollars,” added Patricia Benton, chair of the resource center. “These special game days are an entertaining way for our community to bring together and multiply the effects of their generosity.”
