Lectron vertebra Tesla for the CCS adapter check [Video]

I recently had the opportunity to test Lectron's new vertebrae plug adapter, which enabled me and my CCS-equipped Rivian to access the Tesla Supercharger network. In my opinion, a NAC -Zu CCS adapter is an essential tool for every BEV owner, and this from Lectron is easy and effective to use.

While EV car manufacturer switch to the North American charging standard (NACS), which is responsible for Tesla, there is a large amount of current and upcoming models that use the now lame duck CCS plug for earlier charging processes.

While CCS-equipped EVS have a growing number of available public faster chargers available (depending on where they live, of course), such a technology has access to the Tesla supercharger network of the largest and most reliable in the USA.

While many car manufacturers go on to NACs, they offer new customers Tesla to CCS adapters. But what about the rest of us? I drive a Rivian R1S and mainly calculate at home. I also removed a Rivian Adventure Network Hub in about 20 miles.

However, Tesla superchargers are much closer and more detailed, especially on road trips, therefore the desire for a charging adapter to enable access to my CCS-equipped SUV.

Here Lectron comes into play.

To support my daily charging practices, Lectron sent me the Vortex CCS adapter plug to test my local Tesla supercharger. My thoughts are below.

Testing the vertebrae -tesla on CCS adapter from Lectron

Lectron is a specialist for charging technology, the EV charging device of level 1 and 2 and a number of adapters for Tesla to CCS and vice versa. After I had put my Rivian R1s a few months ago, I was set to buy a NACS adapter from the car manufacturer -Gear shop.

Before I could do this, Lectron offered a sample of his new vertebral side, so I took the opportunity to test it. As you can see from my pictures above, the vertebral plug is a quick and simple unboxing. It is essentially just the adapter and literature, so it's plug -and -plays.

This adapter developed for CCS BEVS is compatible with all Tesla DC superchargers (V3 and V4). It is rated for up to 500 amps and 1,000 volts. So if you can find a super -fast Tesla plug and support your EV 350 kW fast fees, you can fully exploit the super short charge rates.

In the truest sense of the word, I drove to my next Tesla supercharger after filming the unboxing (see my video check below) to test this adapter plug for myself, and it couldn't have been easier.

The charging process corresponds exactly to all sessions. In this case, the Tesla app in addition to a credit card is required to pay the charging session, but that is also a simple process. I just drove to an open place, selected my available charger in the Tesla app and left the R1S to connect me.

To start with the shop, I put the Tesla NACS plug in the vertebrae and then in the CCS connection of my Rivian. It's so easy. My EV has plug & LAD functions, so that the charging session was initiated alone as soon as everything was connected. Zero Hiccups.

When I was connected, my battery was already quite full (I couldn't wait to test it), so that I couldn't talk to the top load rates at this specific location. In addition, the LFP cells in my Standard R1S can only process up to 200 kW, but other BEVS, such as the Hyundai Ioniq 5, should be able to charge much faster.

The rate always depends on your vehicle architecture and the specific charging stack on which you are. Nevertheless, Lectron's vertebra papter enables your CCS EV to achieve the highest load speeds at a Tesla charger without compromise.

Overall, Lectron's vertebra papter is a simple and effective tool to get access to the Tesla supercharger network if you are currently driving an EV with a CCS plug. There are many options out there, and if the car manufacturer you buy from a free offer, definitely accept it.

You can also shop to find the best offer. The vertebrae is currently available for $ 185 and marked by 250 US dollars. Now is an excellent time for sale. It is important to note that the Lectron-Vortex is currently only compatible with specific BEV models, including Rivian, and soon to access to Audi, BMW, Honda, Jaguar-Land Rover, Kia, Porsche, Subaru, Toyota and Volkswagen.

It is incompatible With Mazda, Mini-, Stellantis or Chrysler models. This is understandable, haha.

In my video below, take a look at my full video review of the Vortex plug in action.
